1. Wild Wood Surrey
Re-opening on Saturday 15th February, and then open every day throughout the holidays, experience the thrill of negotiating rope bridges, wobbly crossings and zip wires high up in the trees like a modern-day Tarzan.
2. Watt’s Gallery
Lots of activities happening throughout the week to help the kids get creative, including a pop-up portrait studio and daily storytelling. Activities start on Tuesday 18th, and go all the way through to Sunday 23rd.
3. AirHop Guildford
For the ultimate in bouncing fun for the whole family, AirHop is a massive indoor venue filled with trampolines from wall to wall. A great wet weather activity. Open every day, with sessions available throughout the day.
4. Abinger Cookery School
For those budding chefs out there, a half-day children’s cookery class could be just the thing! During the 3 hour course, which costs £55, you’ll cook both sweet and savoury dishes. Suitable for 9 years and above, and classes run from the 18th – 21st February.
5. Theatrical Make-Up at G Live
Learn theatrical make-up skills in a one-day workshop inspired by the legendary musical and brand new movie, Cats. Suitable for ages 11 - 16. Tickets £40.
6. Hatchlands Park Half Term Trail
Get outside and explore the park on the duck-spotting trail that opens for half-term. Available every day from 15th – 23rd. The trail is free, but National Trust admission applies.
7. Squire’s Milford Create & Grow Event
The Create & Grow event features daily activities from 10am to 4pm. Drop in between Monday 17th - Friday 21 February and paint a ceramic bird feeder, take part in the spring hunt competition or complete the spring flower maze.
8. Winkworth Arboretum Spectacular Sticks Trail
From den building to sword-fighting, there’s no end to the fun that can be had with the world’s greatest toy – a stick! The Spectacular Sticks trail runs from 15th Feb – 23rd Feb. Cost £1 plus admission.
9. Cricket Masterclass
For any keen cricketers out there, the Surrey Cricket Foundation are running batting masterclasses at the Surrey County Cricket Centre in Guildford on the 18th and 20th February.
10. Mini Pony Morning
Head to Greenways Stables Godalming on the 21st February from 10am – 12pm for a morning with the ponies. Ideal for 6-9 year olds with little or no previous experience of riding and ponies.
11. Woodland Wildlife Workshop
Pets at Home in Godalming are running FREE Woodland My Pet Pals Workshops every day from Saturday 15th – Sunday 1st. Suitable for kids aged 5-11, they’ll learn all about woodland animals and meet some friendly small furries.
12. Sing-o-Lingo Half Term Events
Events are happening all week at the Wilfrid Noyce in Godalming, highlights include Crazy Cooking on Tuesday 18th (suitable for 2.5-10 years and costs £10) and a Superhero Disco on Thursday 20th (suitable for all ages and costs £5).
13. Sayers Croft Wild Wednesday
Head to Sayers Croft in Cranleigh on the 19th February for an action packed afternoon of outdoors adventure and exploration. Perfect for 6-11 year olds and costs just £4. Booking essential.
14. Mimi and the Mountain Dragon
On 20th February at 2pm, Cranleigh Arts Centre are showing a magical musical puppetry adventure based on Michael Morpurgo's heart-warming tale. Suitable for ages 3 plus, tickets cost £10 per person.
15. Play in a day at Yvonne Arnaud
These holiday workshops are the perfect place to develop ideas, explore performance techniques and generally have a good time! The workshops run from 10am - 4pm on 17th or 18th February (for ages 6-10) and 19th and 20th February (for 10 years plus), with a showing for family and friends at the end of the day.
