1. Dapdune Wharf Tea Room

This is a great spot down by the river which doesn’t get overly busy. The tea room has plenty of space and serves sandwiches, ice cream, hot drinks and homemade cakes. The garden is ideal for a summers day as the little ones can have a run around while you enjoy your cream tea. Baby changing and free parking available.
2. Krema Coffee
4 Tunsgate, Guildford GU1 3QT
Mon - Sat 7.30am - 5.30pm, Sun 9.30am - 5pm
If you’re in Guilford town centre and need a break from the hustle and bustle, Krema is an independent coffee shop which does great coffee, and has a tempting selection of delicious cakes. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. It’s not massive inside, but there’s space for buggies and baby changing facilities.
3. Moka
Level 1, The Friary, North Street, Guildford GU1 4YW
Mon - Sat 8.30am – 6pm, Late night Thurs till 8pm, Sun 11am – 5pm
Located downstairs in The Friary, there are plenty of tables and space in Moka. There is a large menu, from hot drinks, smoothies and cake, to more substantial lunch and dinner options, and there’s also a kid’s menu. It’s directly opposite The Friary’s baby changing and feeding facilities, which are well regarded.

4. Café Mila

If you’re looking for a healthy vegetarian option then this is the place, although don’t worry if you’re after something a little more indulgent as they still have homemade cakes! It’s not huge inside and can get quite busy, but they are very accommodating and in summer there’s the outside courtyard. They offer half size portions for children of anything on the menu, for half the price.
5. Natter Café
7A Farncombe Street, Godalming GU7 3BA
Tues – Fri 8.30am – 5pm, Sat 9am – 4pm, Sun 9am – 2pm
Serving breakfast, brunch or lunch, Huckleberry Bistro is an American style café which is very welcoming to families. The food is all fresh and homemade, and the coffee and cake are excellent. There’s street parking outside, but depending on the time of the day you may have to fight for a space.

6. Watts Gallery Tea shop
Down Lane, Compton, Guildford GU3 1DQ
Open daily: 10am - 5pm
You don’t have to be visiting the gallery to visit this cosy café located on the North Down’s Way. There’s plenty of space inside and families are very welcome, with a children’s menu, colouring activities, baby changing facilities and high chairs available. If you’re feeling energetic there is a nice looped walk from Watt’s Gallery to Loseley House. Free onsite parking.
7. Café One 40

A family run business which describes itself as a ‘boutique department store and café’. The café is spacious, and all the food is freshly made with locally sourced ingredient. There is also a reasonably priced children’s menu on offer. And once you’ve had some refreshments, you can then enjoy a spot of retail therapy!
8. Cromwell Coffee House

If you’re looking for something a little more traditional, this super friendly café has delicious homemade cakes and cream teas. which you can enjoy outdoors on the flower-filled patio or around a cosy fireplace in winter. There’s a small kid's menu with the classics on, plus a macaroni cheese which they are said to be well-known for!
9. The Snooty Fox

Located in the village of Shalford, The Snooty Fox has an impressive breakfast menu, as well as lunch, hot drinks and fresh cakes and pastries to choose from. There’s also a breakfast and lunch menu for children, plus a tea time menu served from 3.30pm – 6pm (Mon-Fri). In addition to seating inside, there is an outdoor terrace and newly opened yurt.
10. The Nest Coffee Shop

Not only does this village café have amazing coffee and delicious food, but also a large play area for kids with train sets, puzzles, crayons, a play kitchen, a huge black board plus much more. On the kid’s menu is a snack tray for under £3, or a selection of sandwiches. There’s no car park, but you should be able to find parking on one of the side streets.
